Jessica Collier

Collier Realtors, LLC. officially opened in December of 2020; however, conceptually it began many homes ago.  Owner Jessica Collier started her real estate career in May of 2004.  After a less than desirable experience when she and her husband Doug purchased their first home, a decision was made to make a career change from retail management.  “It was too late for us but I would do all possible to  ensure that my future clients would not feel like they were being “herded” through the process.  This is one of the largest purchases most people will make in their lifetime.  I have strived in my personal and professional life to never make anyone feel like they are just a number.”

Years of sales, customer service experience, along with managing two stores with many employees aided in her future success in real estate.  Although she says it would not have been possible without the support of her husband Doug and #1 cheerleader, her Mom LouAnn.  Her career did not come without struggles but that’s another story.  This is about the successes.  She says, “it is not possible to understand this new chapter and the decision to open Collier Realtors without referencing the table of contents.  There would be a chapter for each company I was lucky enough to be a part of.”  Starting with Benchmark Realtors, now known as Weichert, Realtors – Benchmark.  Being with a company that has it’s own in house loan brokerage was invaluable to Jessica.

As a new agent learning the ins and outs of both real estate and the mortgage business was extremely useful.  "I will never forget the relationships formed there and the time the company put in to training.  The thing I appreciate most was the opportunity to offer credit counseling and assist in helping people realize their dream of home ownership."  Next, armed with the idea that if you surround yourself with successful people, you will become more successful…Hobson Realtors was the clear choice when Jessica transferred to a new company.  Jessica says, "the interview with Hobson was the toughest of my career.  It felt like a milestone and a serious accomplishment to be invited to join the team there.  I knew that they were not bringing on people just to meet a quota or fill a seat.  It was controlled growth and I respect that."  Then, something unexpected happened.

After 8 years of marriage, the Colliers were blessed with their daughter Stella in 2007.  Around the same time, a past colleague from Benchmark contacted Jessica about assisting in opening a new office.  That is the Molly Reeves Realty chapter.  “It was exciting to have someone acknowledge that I had something to offer.  I will always be grateful for that opportunity.”  It was a great experience for Jessica but God had something else in store.  Lula Pearl, their 2nd daughter was born in 2012.  A decision was made to relocate and the search for a new home began.  Close proximity to Memphis, good schools, and low taxes brought the Colliers to Tipton County.  There were several good real estate companies in the area.  However, Jessica made a promise to someone that if she ever made another move, she'd come talk to him.  Knowing that it made no sense to join a company located 45 minutes away from their new home, she went in with no true intention of signing with then Prudential Collins-Maury.  Less than 5 minutes into the interview with Jules Wade and Bill Maury, Jessica knew she was "home."

Nearly 8 years later and now known as Coldwell Banker Collins-Maury, she says "they will forever be family to me, my Collins-Maury family.  The training, the technology, the level of professionalism, the support.  Wow, it runs like a well-oiled machine.  A true testament to the man who started the company, Doug Collins, the amazing new owners, Angie Ware and Sean Blankenship, and their management team."  “It was not an easy decision for us to move out of Memphis.  Most of our family lives there, Doug drives in every day for work, and I still work with clients in the area.  In fact, we still own a home there.  We Love Memphis…the music, the culture, the people, the Grizzlies, and especially the TIGERS...GTG!!  Living in Tipton County offers us the best of both worlds.  We are only a few short miles from Memphis and have more space to breath.  It is a great community with so many wonderful people!"  Jessica’s family is from Lauderdale County, just North of Tipton County.  “It truly is unbelievable witnessing the growth of the area through the years.”  From childhood and up Jessica and her family took the routes down Highway 51, Austin Peay/Hwy 14, or through Rosemark.  There has always been something special about it.  We are happy to call it Home!
